本会于1929年在位于广东民路13号处创立宝树联合会。
Established in 1929, Chia General Association (Singapore) was previously known as a few names. The first name used was Pow Soo United Association located at 13 Cantonment Road.
第二次大战后，于1948年更名为星洲南洋谢氏公会，并迁址至桥南路143号3楼。
In 1948, after the 2nd World War, our name was changed to Sin Chew Nan Yang Chia Association and moved to 143 South Bridge Road, Level 3.
于1951年购得现今会所赵芳路1号全座三层楼。
In 1951, we purchased a 3 storey building, which is our current address today at No.1 Teo Hong Road.
于1965年全面修葺会所，1969年7月26日，由当年的劳工部政务次长（1970年8月至1981年1月担任劳工部政务部长）谢嘉惠宗长主持开幕典礼仪式。
After a major renovation in 1965, an official opening was held on 26 July 1969 graced by Parliament Secretary for Ministry of Labour, Mr Sia Kah Hui (Minister of State, Labour, from August 1970 to January 1981).
于1964年10月29日，更名为南洋谢氏公会。
On 29th October 1964, we renamed ourselves, Nan Yang Chia Association.
于1975年更名为南洋谢氏总会。
In 1975, we renamed ourselves Nan Yang Chia General Association.
于1995年，正式更名为新加坡谢氏总会。
In 1995, the association is officially renamed as Chia General Association (Singapore).
